1. Philosophy and applications of yoga and yoga therapy, diet and nutrition

  • Explore the foundational concept of yoga as a holistic system for harmonising the body, mind and spirit
  • Introduction to the concept of yoga therapy, which utilises the principles and practices of yoga to support individuals in achieving optimal health and well-being
  • Learn about the Integrated Approach of Yoga Therapy, which incorporates a diverse range of yoga techniques tailored to individual needs
  • Gain understanding on the concept and principles of diet, emphasising the importance of nutrition in supporting the body's natural healing processes

2. Anatomy and physiology

  • Understand the intricate workings of the human body by explore 10 physiological systems that govern our health and vitality
  • Gain insight into the mechanism of these physiological systems and how imbalances in the systems can manifest as diseases and disorders
  • Learn how practicing yoga techniques benefits these systems, promoting balance, resilience and optimal functioning.

3. Common ailments and their yoga therapy modules

  • Explore a comprehensive array of 31 common ailments categorised by physiological systems

4. Ethics and professionalism

Dr. Kuldeep presents yoga techniques with a very modern viewpoint, analyzing them critically and presenting (high quality) research-based evidence (or the lack of it) to back up the claims. We went deep enough into anatomy and physiology to understand the effects of yoga without getting lost in them. I loved the insightful discussions on yoga philosophy that helped me align my efforts correctly. More importantly, Dr Kuldeep lives the principles and teaches by example. He brings a wealth of practical experience and tips to share from his decades of experience as a yoga teacher and therapist. The learning goes well beyond the stated 300 hrs as he continues to guide me during my case studies. The other course instructor, Dr. Ena, is brilliant. The support staff, Stephanie and Hui Min, also excellent yoga teachers themselves, are very competent and kind, making the entire experience immensely enjoyable.
